Our damper is falling down and falling apart. Do you sell or repair dampers?

Not all dampers can be repaired, as it depends on the type of mechanism and how it was damaged. We do from time to time have some dampers that have come from past customers’ houses that have no need for their damper any longer (such as installing an insert into the fireplace). The glass on our stove keeps getting cracks. Do you repair stove doors or fix glass for stove doors?

Its good practice to make sure as you are loading your wood stove or insert to be careful that logs are not pushing up against the glass on the door and you are careful not to hit the door with the wood. There is a hole in the bottom of our fireplace that we push all the ash into, but it is getting full. Do you clean out ash dumps?

We do clean out ash dumps. There are times that the ash dump is small or not very full and can be done at the time of your chimney sweep service. There are also times this space is very large and make take several hours to complete. In either case, we can assess at the time of your chimney sweep appointment and determine if another appointment is needed to clean this space out.
