There is a hole in the bottom of our fireplace that we push all the ash into, but it is getting full. Do you clean out ash dumps?

We do clean out ash dumps. There are times that the ash dump is small or not very full and can be done at the time of your chimney sweep service. There are also times this space is very large and make take several hours to complete. In either case, we can assess at the time of your chimney sweep appointment and determine if another appointment is needed to clean this space out.

A hot chimney can’t be swept safely by our team so you will need to stop using any wood or coal fireplace, stove, or insert for approximately 24 hours before we are to arrive. A gas or pellet appliance should be turned off the night before our arrival.
